Insect pheromone traps are made up of long-lasting materials as triangular shaped houses that come with hangers. These traps contain sticky inserts and pheromone dispenser containing species specific female pheromones. These traps are generally hanged in the insect pest infested areas in the gardens or greenhouses at about 50 meter distance from each other to avoid pheromone interference. Generally adult males are attracted by female pheromone inside the traps. Once males enter the traps, they get stuck on sticky inserts and die.
